This issue has a good variety of new opportunities. Instead of just an influx of contests and prompts, there are new volunteer opportunities, discussions, and votes to participate in. The DeviantArt literature community is thriving, so please continue to show your support in any way you can. It's for your mutual benefit, after all!

I'm going to be going through the list of groups soon and taking out the ones that have been inactive for too long. It's sad to see so many groups failing, but it is my honest opinion that people need to stop creating new literature clubs and start joining staff of existing ones. There are already plenty of literature groups covering all styles and genres; there really is no need for more lit groups (that includes chat rooms). If we'd all focus our attention on the groups already in existence, they would be more successful and be able to thrive.

All that said, sometimes great groups end for reasons beyond anyone's control. That's always a shame.
