Here's a showcase of some of the wonderful artworks pertaining to the environment. The works span a variety of art types (conceptual, abstract, advertisement, traditional, photography, digital, literature, you name it), and various environment-related themes (Earth Day, environmental awareness, global warming, renewable energy, wildlife and habitat conservation, recycling, human consumption, materialism, pollution, etc). Each one is unique in that they bring forth greater awareness, evoke that thought-provoking button in your brain to envision what the future would be like, and (hopefully) prompt you to act or at least spread the word. And of course, to appreciate the beauty of the artistic elements, time, and effort that they've put in into these pieces of beauty.

So why am I making this art feature (other than the reasons listed above)? As a response to the global warming counter-arguments that I often hear, I'd just like to offer my 2 cents. To me, it does not matter where the scientific evidence stands (whether global warming is man-made, part of natural evolution, or any other stand out there). It's the attitude that matters, and how we treat the Earth to ensure its sustainability for the future generation. This brings forth a wide spectrum of issues such as conservation vs. habitat destruction, pollution vs. using renewable energies, and choosing a green lifestyle that takes into consideration the impact of small, everyday actions. We can't live in the world pretending that it's just our own little bubble; everything is interconnected and complexly interwoven together. Every small action matters, and every choice is yours.
