That Country II

~NiCoLe-sOcRaZy:iconNiCoLe-sOcRaZy: reports, August 27, 2009

Thanks for the feature! I've read the article (with the help of a translator, cause I don't know German :ashamed:) and I have to disagree with you.. Sure, the crisis has affected a lot of countries, but I don't think that Romania is the one affected the most. Yes, a lot of people had been fired or had their wages cut off, but not necessarily because of the crisis. In my opinion, this a convenient pretext for some employers to cover their bad management and to reduce labor costs.. a lot of them ask people to work for less money or take unpaid leaves so they can keep their jobs. Romania has the natural resources to support itself, yet it's suffering of bad management, reason for which it keeps depending on others.
Anyway, there's something I heard on the news today that made me think about how bad the situation in Romania really is... Romania hosted the second edition of a powerboat championship, a sort of Formula 1 on water, while Russia decided not to host such event because of the crisis...

first of all, i'm very very sorry for my late reply, but i just didn't take a look at my written news, so i didn't know that you commented on it :(

it's absolutely okay, if you disagree with me. and of course, in some points we have the same opinion - these words right up are not mine. i don't really agree with that business woman, it's just my dad's cousin and she told us something about her business and so on. so i decided to make her opinion public. just so that others can see what some Romanians themselves think.
i guess you're right by saying that it's just some kind of pretext that so many companies have just shut down and fired many people. but you also have to see the other side - this woman here doesn't own a big company. she's got 7 trucks, so 7 driver. and she's got big trouble, though her quite good organisation and way to make things work.
'course, many countries are affected, and i don't think that Romania is the most affected, but as my parents are from Romania and i have many spilt opinions about that country, i wrote about it. i could have also written 'bout .. .i don't know, china or ghana, or any other country. but when i look at Romania i feel .. home, somehow. and so it affected me and i needed to write. maybe not everything's correct, or maybe not everyone shares my point of view, but that's okay for me. :)
