*PhotographersClub is thrilled to announce the opening of our Make Me Laugh Contest, a contest for humorous photography!

Contest opens on: Monday, August 31, 2009.

Contest closes on: Friday, October 16, 2009.


CONTEST RULES

Contest entries must be new photos created after Tuesday, September 1, 2009.

Contest entries must be sent in by Friday, October 16, 2009.

The photo submitted must fit the theme i.e. it must be a humorous photograph. We want to spread some laughter here!

Entrants may submit a maximum of two separate photographs.

If a photo-story (or series of photos telling a story) is planned, you may submit one entry with a compilation of all photos in the series.


HOW TO SUBMIT

Send us a note with the subject "Make Me Laugh Contest" and the thumbnail of your deviation.

(The thumbcode can be found in a white box on the right hand side of your deviation description. It should look something like :thumb00956010: It doesn't matter if you have premium membership or not.)

This is an open contest i.e. you do not have to be a member of the club to submit your entry.

DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START?

When you can, keep your camera nearby. Sometimes the funniest things happen in spontaneous moments.

If you don't intend to wait for something funny to spontaneously happen, then plan well -- but don't overdo it. The more thought you put into making something funny, the more overworked and overdone it may come across. Think: simplicity!

Your humorous scene doesn't have to be something extraordinary. Think about things from your every day life; ask your friends to join in.

What hasn't been done before? Although cracked eggs with comical expressions drawn onto them are funny, the concept has been done so many times that it's losing its effect. Be original!

Most importantly, have fun! This is all about the laughs after all.
