There seems to be a problem on dA with flash ads messing with your computer by redirecting you to a blank page/pop up of an involuntary virus scan. Never engage in this pop up. Even clicking the 'x' to close the window might risk sneaking you a trojan virus. To close this window safely, be sure to do this via your
task manager.
Get the Firefox addon that will block these nasty flash adds: [link](It will also save you from epileptic seizures)

While blocking these ads helps you prevent yourself from experiencing them it does not help the overall situation to prevent the community as a whole from experiencing ad problems. We have a thread in the Advertising Status Forum that explains how to properly report any ads of this nature. Found here [link]
Once the Help Desk receives the report concerning the ad they will direct you to a form you will need to fill out which is collected by the Advertising Department. The more information provided helps the Advertising Department eliminate these ads.

I don't think it's a real virus, though. It's some pain-in-the-ass site that wants you to think you have a virus so you'll buy something. I have an awesome Virus scanner. that has never EVER let me down, and it never even burped.
I'll continue to block every form of ad, here or otherwise, that it's in my ability to block, though. It's good to not waste bandwidth and energy for something no one wants.
