=pullingcandy:iconpullingcandy: reports, 7h 17m ago
#ProjectComment is a project that features the generally obscured and underappreciated artists and their art in regular news articles. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.

The 0-5 Comments Issues feature a deviant as well as 3 deviations with less than 5 original comments from a wide selection of art. Please give your time to :+favlove: this article and to write constructive comments so that you make a true difference to the artists featured here.

=3wyl:icon3wyl: reports, 5h 15m ago
#ProjectComment features the generally obscured and underappreciated artists and their art in regular news articles in the hope that they get the recognition they deserve through comments.

However, because it is not definite that you will get a comment if your piece is featured by #ProjectComment, we have created this system where you can get guaranteed constructive comments.

Please :+favlove: this article so that everyone is presented with the opportunity of receiving a guaranteed and constructive comment.

Little 3 1/2 year old Aria MacDonald has just had surgery to transplant her small bowel, kidney, live and pancreas at a Nebraska hospital. She is a miracle and a trooper, and I want people to participate in a project to bring her hope, joy and encouragement using your art -- all for the cost of a stamp to Nebraska, USA.

Be Inspired: September

#ProjectInspire:iconProjectInspire: reports, September 7, 2009
If you're interested in all things inspirational, this is going to be the best place to start your browsing! We plan on having features on dA's most devious, plus little tasks and things along the way to get you guys as involved and inspired as you can be.

We hope that through a series of motivational projects, journals, tasks and events that we can give the members of deviantART more reason to contribute as a community, rather than simply for their art. At the same time though, we want to give you guys plenty of inspiration to create your masterpieces as well! We look forward to helping you find your inspiration as well as perhaps being an inspiration to others.

We eagerly await the release of groups to make your experience with our club even better, but until then, check out some of the awesome features we are currently home to!

Project 53

Each month, one of us will post a 'task' of sorts for you guys to have a go at. The goal here is to get everyone more involved with the community, although we may post a few art-related tasks as well!

This month, we want to introduce you guys to one of the simplest, but most rewarding tasks you could be likely to ever try on deviantART. We like to call it Project 53.

The point of this is relatively simple:

deviantART is a community. While we’re here to share our art, it’s just as fulfilling to appreciate the art of other deviants. You’ll meet new people, strike up conversations and make new friends. How good is that?!

This isn’t a project that is going to force you to do anything, and most importantly, it doesn’t have any deadlines. The best thing about it is that it’s dead easy to do - even if you did it each time you log onto this site! If you guys are anything like us and you’re completely addicted to this place, you could even do this daily!

Project 53 isn’t much different from commenting on the people you already +watch yourself. It’s just a way to broaden your devious horizons. There’s nothing to lose from doing this!

If you’re looking for the rewards for yourself, you’re meeting new people, and perhaps you’ll even pick up a few hints or lessons on how you could improve your own artwork! Best of all, there’s the possibility you could make some lasting new friends.

People love to see others caring enough to take time out for them and look at their art. We can guarantee that you’ll be giving them as well as yourself, one very massive grin!

Now go forth and share some devious love!

Inspirational Comments

Another service that we offer, much like *SecretAdmirerPlz, is a comment service. However, our comments are not those of admirers, but of people who are inspirations in our life! Is there someone on dA you find particularly inspiring? Send us a note, and whether you'd like your message to be anonymous or onymous, we will send it out as soon as possible (please keep to a minimum of five linked deviants per note).

:lightbulb: Anonymous

:iconteddyplz: Inspiration is often compared to a fire in that both take only a spark to feed the blaze. There is someone out there who considers you their spark, someone who is inspired by your artwork and ideas to fuel their own creative fire.

Keep on shining. :lightbulb:

:lightbulb: Onymous

:iconhrtplz::iconhrtplz::iconhrtplz::iconhrtplz::iconhrtplz::iconhrtplz:
"Some people come into our lives
and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance.
They awaken us
to a new understanding
with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make
the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile,
leave footprints on our hearts
And we are never, ever the same."
:iconhrtplz::iconhrtplz::iconhrtplz::iconhrtplz::iconhrtplz::iconhrtplz:

In our lifetime, we meet many types of people. The ones that stand out the most are the ones who overcome challenges and have a positive outlook on life. These people are our inspirations; without inspiration the best powers of the mind remain dormant for there is a fuel in us which needs to be ignited with sparks.

For ~UsernameHere, you are that spark--keep on shining.

Deviously Inspiring Award

The deviously inspiring award is an award gifted to a deviant on a quarterly basis (every three months) based on suggestions noted to us from deviants like you! If you have someone you'd like to recommend for this award, don't hesitate to note us with a brief description on why that deviant is an inspiration to you and others.

To commemorate our grand opening, instead of choosing the customary one deviant, each current staff member chose someone whom they find exceptionally inspiring for a grand total of five award recipients! Congratulations to all.

:lightbulb: Septembers Award Recipients

:iconikue: "Chris is the sort of person who will never ask for praise, but trust me when I say that he really does deserve it!

Not only is he one of the kindest people I have ever met, but he is also one of the most talented. He's the Gallery Moderator for Vectors, plus the moderator of a number of clubs around dA, and is always helping others to the best of his ability. Even if he can't help you himself, he'll find you someone who can. :B Working with him has always been (and will always continue to be) a pleasure for me.

Chris is also responsible for the AWESOME design and code for our journals, so once again, thank-you SO MUCH!"

:iconshivita: "I chose =Shivita as a generally inspiring deviant due to the fact that she was my very first idol here on dA. Back then, I was a lot shyer than I am today, and it took plenty of courage to actually try and talk to her for the first time. I was blown away when she replied in an exceptionally friendly manner. It didn't take long for the two of us to become friends.

She really inspires me to break my boundaries and try new things when it comes to drawing feral art. Her anatomy and particular style is what originally drew me to her gallery in the first place, and to this day she is still one of my absolute favorites. I also find it especially inspiring in that she is quite skilled when it comes to a variety of mediums. Because of her, I find myself wanting to dabble in different art forms more and more frequently. On top of all that, she manages to stay friendly and positive despite any hardships she may go through. I highly recommend that you check out her gallery - she won't disappoint!"

:iconhellfirediva: "`hellfirediva is my choice as an inspiring deviant because she was the first photographer on dA I was absolutely dumbfounded by when I both saw her work and the fact that she took the time to interact with her watchers. I was incredibly intimidated at first, but the more I interacted and got to know Tina, the more and more she just inspired me.

Her suggestions and tips have benefited me and my photography greatly.
I always noticed and admired her attention to every-little detail and such diligence has shown in nearly everything she does. Her ability to go beyond just macro is also very respectable. She is a well-rounded and fine tuned photographer as well as a genuine and helpful individual. Her work is certainly noteworthy and I would recommend it all!"

:icontaho: "By far, one of my most inspiring deviants would be =taho. I have found that Fatima is one of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She's taught me about beauty, study, and has given me countless words of advice that all have had an incredible amount of meaning and substance, not to mention the incredible friendship she has given me. She's taught me that I can do anything I want to, as long as I put forth dedication and effort -- and while I've heard that from many previously, it affected me the most through her.

She's an excellent artist, every piece dynamic and lovely in everyway. Fatima's not afraid to execute interesting lighting, and always has a beautiful pose paired with striking anatomical work and gorgeous rendering. Everytime she submits something new, I feel a burst of inspiration. Most-definitely a deviant worth getting to know!"

--Awarded by `shebid

:iconnabhan: "I am continuously inspired by =NaBHaN. Her raw talent and ability is outstanding. She doesn't let any one particular style hold her down and I find that so refreshing. She is constantly adapting and trying to new things but some how her soul and vision always seems to shine through. What amazes me is that you can look through the vector gallery and when you come across her work you know it at first glance. Even if the style was inspired by another artist. If you haven't already seen her work I recommend you check it out immediately."

--Awarded by ^Ikue

:lightbulb: THE NOMINATION PERIOD FOR POSSIBLE AWARD RECIPIENTS IS NOW OPEN. Send us a note with a brief description on how this person is inspirational, and in doing so has made a difference in your life. This will give them a chance to win our quarterly Deviously Inspiring Award.

Even if the suggested deviant does not win the award, they still have a chance to be featured in our upcoming inspirational interview newsletter.

Thanks

We want to shout out a huge thank-you to each and every one of you who supports us in this endeavor. It's amazing deviants like you guys who make our job so much easier. Stay tuned, and stay inspirational!

:lightbulb: Special thanks goes to:
  • ^Ikue for making the lovely journal layout we currently use!

  • =madb0y for making us our fabulous icon!

  • ~umar123 for making us a snazzy-looking support stamp!

We hope to next month include a section on inspirational happenings around deviantART. But until then...
Please, take a look around our page, tell your friends, and spread the inspiration! :lightbulb:
