I often browse artistic nudes, so i couldn't help but notice a very sad trend going on: Even here, on DeviantArt, people think it's okay to bash someone whose shape is not to their liking.
"Omg too skinny!"
"Give her a cake!!!"
"Pffft clearly anorexic"

Apparently, such comments are totally acceptable now, which is shocking. I'm not sure what it is..perhaps, jealousy, a narrow mind, or trying to reverse the media standarts instead of ignoring them all together-but I don't think there is a reason, why models could possibly deserve such hurtful comments. Yes, professional modelling business has ridiculous standarts at times, yes, we've all heard stories of anorexic teenagers trying to "fit in" and what not. But does this mean we have to generalize and discriminate all thin people here? Absolutely not! It makes not sense at all.

I could say, that protruding bones don't nessesary mean "thin" and are often a result of an unusual pose or body structure.
I could say, that people come in all shapes and sizes, and the fact that you've "never seen someone that skinny" doesn't mean it's not natural.
I could also say that thin people, are in fact, not something unnatural,exclusively invented and manufactured by the evil media...but yes, they exist IN REAL LIFE TOO! Unbelievable!
But I won't.

Why? Because it's not the point! It's not a medical book, but an artistic nude, for God's sake! You can't just throw diagnosises around.
Not even if you're a doctor, and especially not if you're just a bad-mannered teenager who has nothing better to do than to insult people.

Hey, I have an idea! if all skinny people are anorexic-let's diagnose everyone else, too!
Pale skin? Probably indigestion.
Tan skin? -Ololol someone's gonna get skin cancer!
Dark circles around eyes? -he must be a junkie!11 Rehab plz!

..i could go on.

So yeah. If looking at an artistic nude only makes you analyze, how much a portrayed model eats/sleeps/whatever...They don't have a problem. YOU do.

I thought of making a feature to support my statement, but decided not to, because illustrating such controversial subject would only bring more haters to their pages.
