The "Show Them You Love Them contest" is to benefit and raise awareness for the abused and unwanted animals you find in shelters worldwide. We are trying to help show the DA community the love that we pet owners have for our animals, and the pain and desolation of those lonely few who roam the streets without love and affection. This contest is open to everyone, whether you have an animal or not, and has two divisions: Amateur and Professional. Though it is photography (petography to be more specific) only! The Grand Prize is a 3 year subscription, monetary donations to humane societies within North America, a free print, 3 news articles and nearly 40 journal features!

This contest has received a fantastic amount of acclaim and has been sponsored by multiple clubs within the DA community! Please love this article if you support this contest and help spread the word by advertising in your journal! Even if you only get 3 or 4 page views per day, it can still make a difference in this contest!

The ~staring-at-you-club is having a contest for our club I.D. The contest end on January 5 2010. We have a small number of entries, so the competition is not all that tough.
Here are the rules and guide lines:
1.The pic must pertain to eye(given since that is what the club is about)

First of all I would like to thank you all for your support, I got many notes from people interested in helping out and now I officially announce that the contest has begun.
For you who haven’t read the first article, the contest is for literature under the theme ’Your World’ (For example it can be a world of superheroes or a kingdom with a king or a queen, or a world that has all kinds of legendary creatures in it. It’s your choice. It’s your world.)
The category is Prose- Fiction

The judges are:

Prizes:
1) The first place winner will receive a three months subscription presented by :iconrahll:.
2) Second place winner receive a sketch presented by :icontarisaralonde:
3) Third place winner will a journal feature presented by me.
4) As an additional prize, all three winners will be featured in :iconirrevocablefate:’s journal and keep in mind that all entries will be submitted in the news after the contest ends

Rules:
1) :+favlove: the news to enter the contest.

2) No mature content.

3) Word limit is set to 1250 words. (But if you really couldn’t get it to fit, don’t go over 1500 words.)

4) Chapters will be accepted only if they stand alone and can convey story as something that is just by themselves.

5) Each person can submit one entry into the contest.

6) Your work must be original. If we find out that you didn’t write the entry or it was taken from another website, you’ll be banned from the contest.

7) Send your entry to me as a link in a note with “Lit: Your Word” as a subject.

8) If you’re writing in horror: Do not exaggerate in violence or blood.

The contest begins in September 23rd and ends in November 23rd.

i was wondering, are the other prizes going to be in there too? ^StJoan said she'd give a journal feature, and though she's busy until the end of the year, =Little-kaiyou-Kame would donate a full color drawing. if those are still going to happen, they should be included in the news entry.
