Halloween is my favorite time of the year! I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way, so without further ado, I give to you the month long Halloween mini-contest.

Theme

Though I threw up a poll and everybody basically voted for Vampires, I got an abundance of notes saying I should just make it 'General Horror'.

The theme is General Halloween / Horror. This can cover a wide variety of things - old movie monsters, old horror movies, Vampires, witches, zombies - generally anything spooky and scary. Pumpkins are invited as well!

There is also a subsection for Clowns. Clowns have to be the scariest thing, and any and all clown submissions will be awarded an extra week feature in my journal.

If you manage to get kittens in there, I'll be impressed. They can be scary too, see? Here is the best kitten in the world -



Rules

Only One Submission Per Entrant
Must be Halloween themed, preferably, since that is the holiday in question, though general horror that fits the image will also be accepted.
Photography, Traditional Art and Photomanipulation only please. I love to read but I won't be accepting literature entries for this, as I believe it's more visual then anything.
No generic pictures of your Power Ranger Halloween costume please - I'd like to keep it dark and spooky, in the Halloween spirit.
There is no submission deadline for entries, you can submit something from a year ago and I am okay with it, as long as it fits the theme.
Again, no generic costume pictures with your cel phone. PLEASE.
Mature content is fine, but I will not accept anything that depicts violence towards children or any overtly sexual images.

The submission deadlines are from today, September 23rd, 2009 until October 31st, 2009.
