The Link System





The Link System helps increase Deviant’s exposures and finds undiscovered art. That’s it.

Business first, Kiriban later. Until then, if you haven’t heard about the The Link System…

The Link System [hereafter referred to as TLS because I’m lazy], is not the same as the ‘Sharing’ System offered to us by dA. [link] This is exposure only within dA.

There are two types: TLS and TLS PE. One is for Non-Subscribers and the other is for Premium Subscribers. There is a new Video Tutorial for the Non-Subscribers included in this News Article. Any and every artist on dA can use the System.

Part 1 is a voiceless run-through from uploading, through Linking, to submitting. I’ve shown it at a much slower pace than I usually Link. Parts 2.1, 2.2 and the Non-Subscriber’s versions are more detailed Video Tutorials. They show the process step by step with BBC-style commentary, giving them a professional yet light-hearted feel.


Link another artist's submission to your own in your artist's comment box. It helps everyone. And art.


It takes a few extra minutes to submit and you can:

1. Increase another Deviant’s exposure
2. Increase your own exposure
3. Find undiscovered art on dA
4. Make potential friends


If you’ve managed to watch the videos, then you know what the end result of a Link looks like.The Link can be to your own work. I’ve seen up to 4 Links in an Artist’s Comment box: 1 to self-promote and the other 3 to help other Deviants. Non Premium-subscribers will not be able to have the actual picture of the other Deviant’s work. But they can still Link using URL’s. [watch videos for more]

How many times have you come across a piece of work and thought it deserved more than one view and half a fave? When you’re looking for your Link, you’ll frequently come across work like that. And you can give it its due by Linking. The Link System has caught on and spread quite promptly. It is NOT and NEVER will it be a club. It is just an idea, which is slowly even being promoted and put to use in clubs like the =SkyAndNatureClub, *naturephotographer and the *HDR-Club. Dozens of Deviants are either promoting or Linking already. Learn about the system and if you feel it’s a good idea, please help by fave’ing this article and spreading the word in your own ways. You don't have to Link to help. You can feature it. You can mention this Article. You can use the stamp. But it'll only help us most effectively by using it.

All you're doing is helping other Deviants, yourselves and art on dA.
