@__@ My main one is the overall shot, but thats mainly when I'm nervous about the area I'm in or the fact I can't get closer... [and I take a bunch of shots but I usually do try and take make sure they look good on the little screen of my camera.]

"Who cares what they think. You do what makes YOU feel happy. They are just fellow artists, and if they are making comments like that, then you my friend have done it, because they feel "threatened" by your work and view you as competition!"

I don't hold mine "correctly," but I don't hold mine the way the guy does in that picture either.

And in this photograph, we're safe.

1. I hold it correctly.

2. This is not necessarily a mistake. Some of my best photos are wide angle "overall" shots.

3. Of the last 23 consecutive deviations I've submitted, the only thing I did in Photoshop was crop. I try to get it right with the camera so that I don't have to edit later (of course, having the best camera in the world helps!).

4. I use one camera/lens combination 99% of the time, and it's always appropriate for what I do.

5. My camera always does exactly what I want it to do, flawlessly, without hesitation and brutally fast.

Of course, if you'd ask me what are the biggest mistakes people make... 1. Not mastering the light, both the exposure and the white balance; 2. Not mastering the focus/depth-of-field.

Having a camera makes you no more a photographer than having a hammer and some nails makes you a carpenter. - Claude Adams

Short answer: Yes. Among many more not listed.

Even if humanity should end in a terrible apocalypse, and I was the only person left alive on Earth spending my days battling flesh-eating zombies, I’d still find time to shoot. I can’t imagine doing anything else. *Ian-Plant

i love the one about not having to have the best gear :)
:iconmisskris11:
I love that website. :) For some reason I feel like I read that article before.

I think my biggest mistake would be #5, but I say that loosely. I have had my camera for 2 and a half months but not a day goes by where I am not trying to learn something new about my camera. I think it is al a learning process.
