We apologize for the downtime you experienced today. It would seem some Christmas elves got into the hardware and made a right mess of things.
In truth it was some unexpected maintenance downtime as we added two new load balancers to help handle growing traffic.

We have done a bit of tweaking and some upgrades to the recently fantastic upgrades to galleries and gallery folders. Don't want to use the standard three image thumbnail compilation? No problem. Want the choice between a text only or image only icons for the sidebar? No sweat.

We've got some exciting news regarding your Galleries today, check out the short video in this article for a demo of the new features and some hilarity!

Just a quick update of various things; tech update, a brief description of upcoming features and some meditation.

Quite often we receive the suggestion from users that we should offer an automatic renewal option as part of the deviantART subscription service. Reasons for this particular request are numerous and range from deviants not always remembering to renew their subscription before it expires to deviants not wanting to experience service interruptions and desiring a more automated process.

Based on these requests, we're happy to announce that we have launched a new "Automatic Subscription Renewals" feature.
